ある晴れた日。おじいはこまを一人家に置いてお出かけ。心配でたまらないおじいをよそに、お留守番を楽しむこま。うまくお留守番ができたら、おじいは喜んでくれるかな。こまは張り切って過ごします。そうこうするうちに、にわかに辺りが暗くなり雨が降り始めます。そして、雷が鳴ったかと思うと、停電に。真っ暗闇に一人取り残され、ぶるぶる震えるこま。あらぬものまで見えてしまい...。そんなこまを見て、ももはいは、「どうする？いいことを思いついた！」こまを勇気づけるために寸劇を始めます。それを見たこまは、、、。こまは、無事、ひとりのお留守番を成し遂げられるでしょうか。
